The supervised payphone has been widely welcomed in PCO (public call office), call shops, telecenters in emerging economies such as Africa, India, and parts of Southeast Asia and Latin America. In comparison to unsupervised payphones, they are more accessible to customers and easier to keep in good working condition.
Customers just need to pay cash to the PCO owner and then make or receive calls on the payphone.
